Can I pause my Cineville membership?
Unfortunately, we don't have an option to pause your membership. It is, however, possible to temporarily stop your membership, but only if you take our notice period of a full month into consideration and with a maximum stop of 6 months. You're able to temporarily stop your membership after you completed the first mandatory period of 4 full months. It is not possible to temporarily stop your Cineville membership when you used a giftcard to create your Cineville membership.
To temporarily stop your membership, you follow the steps of a regular cancellation:
- Log in on our website (not possible in the app)
- You'll find your active Cineville membership under Membership, click Cancel below your card number
- Select your preferred end date and click Continue
- After this, click Confirm to confirm your cancellation.
You're able to reactivate your membership within 6 months. This way your membership can be temporarily on hold.

- Under Membership you'll find your old Cineville card, click on Reactivate here
- Select your preferred starting date and let us know if you still have your old card or you would like us to create a new one for you. Click Continue
- If your previous Cineville membership was created with a giftcard, we'll ask you to complete an iDeal payment of €0,01. With this payment you give us the permission to charge you for your membership and deduct the monthly membership costs from your account via direct debit.
- Once the previous steps are completed, click Confirm to make your return to Cineville official
Please note: when you reactivate your membership, the minimum membership term is again 4 full calendar months.
If you'd like to rejoin Cineville but it has been over 6 months that you were a member, you're more than welcome but you'll have to order a new membership. You can apply for a new membership here. After 6 months of inactivity we will delete all your personal data because we value your privacy. You can read more about this in our Privacy Statement. This is why you won't be able to reactivate your membership after a period of 6 months.
