Kids Card FAQ

Want to know more about the Cineville Kids card? Here are the most important questions and answers.

What is the Cineville card?
With a Cineville card, you can go to over 75 independent cinemas in the Netherlands as often as you like. Read more at cineville.nl/cinevillepas.

What is the age range for the Cineville Kids Card?
The Cineville Kids Card is meant for children up to 12 years old. If a child turns twelve during the annual membership, they can still continue to use their Kids Card.

What’s the membership term for a Cineville Kids Card?
The Cineville Kids Card is valid for a whole year (twelve months) from the chosen start date.

When can I order a Cineville Kids Card?
You can order the Cineville Kids Card until January 4, 2026. The Cineville Kids Card is a try-out and available for a limited time only, while supplies last.

How can I order a Cineville Kids Card?
You can order a single Kids Card or more through this form. You need an active Cineville membership to order a Kids Card. Have your card number and a photo of the child(ren) you want to order a Kids Card for ready, fill in all the questions and pick a start date. You’ll receive a temporary Kids Card within two working days.

How do I pay for a Cineville Kids Card?
After you enter your payment details, we will debit a one-time amount of € 60 from your bank account via direct debit.

Can I only order a Kids Card for my own child(ren)?
No, they don't have to be your own children. The only condition for purchasing a Kids Card is that it's linked to an existing or new Cineville membership for adults. The child you buy the Kids Card for can be your own child, but also your grandchild, a child you babysit, your nephew, sister, etc. For example, you can also give a Cineville Kids Card to your grandchild if one of their parents has a Cineville membership, by filling in their card number.

Why does the Kids Card need to be linked to a regular Cineville membership?
Cineville stands for quality cinema and wants to contribute to a healthy, diverse film sector. That is why it's important that we compensate the cinemas for every Cineville visit. To make the Kids Card possible for this low price, we opted to link it to a regular Cineville membership.

Does the person whose Cineville card the Kids Card is linked to always have to accompany the child to the cinema?
No, a child can always use their own card and can also go to the movies with someone without a membership, or with someone with a Cineville card that’s not linked to their Kids Card. A child can also go to the cinema independently (within the age limit).

Which cinemas can be visited with a Kids Card?
The Cineville Kids Card can be used at all cinemas affiliated with Cineville – so that’s more than 75 cinemas throughout the Netherlands. You can find all screenings in our showtimes. Use the ‘Kids’ filter to find only children's films. Some cinemas offer an extensive children's programme. Here's a list:

I purchased a Cineville Kids Card for a child. Can they use it straight away?
The Kids Card is a new Cineville product that we are selling on a temporary basis. The Kids Cards are processed manually, so there's a processing time of two working days from the time you order. Please keep this in mind. You can specify a desired (future) start date in the order form. As soon as the Cineville Kids Card has been activated, you will receive an e-mail from us with a temporary card. They can then go to the movies right away!

How can you go to the cinema with a Cineville Kids Card?
You can go to the movies on a whim or reserve a ticket in advance. Find a film you want to see in the showtimes overview on our website or the Cineville App and reserve your seat. At the cinema, the Cineville Kids Card will need to be scanned (even if you've reserved a ticket online).

Can a child go to any film they want with a Cineville Kids Card?
With a Cineville Kids Card, you can go to films that are suitable for children. All screenings can be found in our showtimes. Please consult the Kijkwijzer (the Dutch film rating system) to check if a film is suitable.

How can I find out which children's films are playing?
Cineville’s showtimes list all the films showing in Cineville cinemas. You can also use the 'Kids' filter to show only films for children.

Is there also a digital Cineville Kids Card in the Cineville App?
No. Unfortunately, the Kids Card is only physical for now. You will receive a temporary card in your inbox and then a physical card in your mailbox, which can be used to go to the cinema.

A child forgot to bring their Kids Card to the cinema. What should they do?
A child must always have their Kids Card with them to be able to go to the movies. This is because the cinema will only be paid out if the card is scanned. If a child didn’t bring their card, they will unfortunately have to buy a regular ticket. These costs cannot be reimbursed by Cineville. Lost a Kids Card? Please reach out to klantenservice@cineville.nl.

Can a Cineville Kids Card membership be paused?
The Kids Card is purchased for an uninterrupted annual period, aka twelve months from the chosen start date. The card cannot be paused or cancelled before the end of this term.

How do I cancel the Cineville Kids Card?
The Cineville Kids Card expires automatically one year after the chosen start date. It's not possible to cancel the Kids Card before this time.

How do I renew the Cineville Kids Card?
We are launching the Cineville Kids Card for the first time this year, starting with a temporary sales period. We hope to be able to offer the Kids Card more often or on a regular basis in the future, but cannot guarantee anything right now. So you can't renew the Kids Card at the moment, but you might be able to by the time it expire!

Why can't I order a Cineville Kids Card anymore? [in January]
The Cineville Kids Card is a new Cineville initiative. For this reason, we limited sales to a short timeframe, which ended on January 4, 2026. If you'd like to stay informed about a possible continuation, sign up for the Kids Card newsletter (in Dutch).
