On the Sea

Trapped between the mussel beds and the church, a fisherman struggles with the traditions holding him back and the desire that could set him free.

Jack lives with his wife Maggie in a small fishing community on the coast of North Wales. Together with his younger brother Dyfan, he runs the family business, that has harvested mussels for generations. He assumes his son Tom will take over the business eventually, but Tom turns out to have other plans. When seasonal worker Daniel arrives to work in the village, a close bond forms between him and Jack. As gossip mounts in the tight-knit community, Jack can no longer ignore his feelings.
