Che Guevara: The Last Companions

Film about the seventeen guerrilla fighters who fought alongside Che Guevara when he was captured in Bolivia on 8 October 1967 and executed a day later. Eleven fighters died during the battle with the Bolivian army. Chased by a few thousand soldiers, the remaining six embarked on a seemingly impossible escape from Bolivia.

Twenty years ago, filmmaker Christophe Dimitri Réveille became intrigued by these guerrilla fighters and their wild escape story. In a reconstruction of the events, he weaves together interviews, archival footage and animation.
