Audrey Hepburn stars in one of her most famous roles: the ever-charming 'good time girl' with a fondness for millionaires, diamonds and wild parties. George Peppard plays the writer who falls head over heels for her.

Writer Paul Varjac (George Peppard) moves into an apartment next door to Holly Golightly (Hepburn), a New York socialite with a knack for charming money out of her dates. Despite his moral objections, Varjac finds himself instantly drawn to the light-hearted Holly.

Marilyn Monroe turned down the role of Holly, finding it 'too risky'; Hepburn – equipped with an elegant cigarette holder and evening gloves – seized the chance to break away from her innocent image. And with great success.
