A mosaic narrative about the Arab revolt against British colonialism and the Zionist settlements in 1936 Palestine. The film follows a female journalist using a male pseudonym, a villager who gets involved in the resistance, and several British officials.

**_Palestine 36_ at the Cineville Preview Days**
After Annemarie Jacir’s historical drama *Palestine 36* was showered with applause at the Toronto film festival, it swiftly became a crowd favourite at its Dutch IFFR premiere. And rightly so! This is a film that hits deep down in your core: a reminder of a piece of history that’s been left in the dark for far too long. By weaving different stories together, Jacir creates a beautiful and moving portrait of resilience, hope, and humanity.

See it at the Preview Days almost two months ahead of its scheduled release.
